Office of Justice Programs Awards $261 Million To Support Youth Mentoring and Protect Children

The Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs (OJP) has announced $261 million in awards to support mentoring services for youth and protect children from abuse, exploitation, and sex trafficking. Trauma-informed Prosecutor Project (TiPP)

This program enhances the effectiveness of the investigation and prosecution of child abuse by providing TTA to prosecutors and other child abuse multidisciplinary team members on trial advocacy, crime scene investigation, and advanced forensic interviewing.

Northeast Regional Children's Advocacy Center

Under this project, the Northeast Regional Children's Advocacy Center provides training and technical assistance to develop and strengthen children's advocacy centers and multidisciplinary teams in the Northeast Region.

Southern Regional Children's Advocacy Center

The Southern Regional Children's Advocacy Center provides training and technical assistance to child abuse professionals in communities to support the growth and improvement of coordinated multidisciplinary responses to child abuse.

Victims of Child Abuse Act Children’s Advocacy Centers Sub-Grant Program

Through this program, the National Children's Alliance will increase the number of children advocacy center programs serving child victims of abuse, with an emphasis on reaching underserved areas (rural, remote, and Tribal) and populations (American Indian, Alaska Native, and Hispanic communities, and military families).

Opioid Affected Youth Initiative Technical Assistance

The Institute for Intergovernmental Research provides technical assistance to Opioid Affected Youth Initiative grantees as they develop and implement effective, data-driven, and coordinated responses that address the abuse of opioids and other substances.
