The Orange County Ninth Judicial Circuit Court proposes to implement a reentry diversion program that will reintegrate juveniles back into their families and their communities. The goals of this implementation grant are to reduce substance abuse recidivism and use intensified treatment to help increase successful rehabilitation. The court consists of intensive, judicially-supervised treatment, mandatory periodic drug testing, and the use of graduated sanctions, incentives and rehabilitation. The program consists of four treatment phases followed by aftercare, then clients may have their charges dismissed upon successful completion. The Juvenile Drug Court program will serve 100 clients and will also address issues specific to the healthy development of their families.
