The purpose of this project is to address two problems that have proven difficult for the states: 1)collecting accurate data on Latino youth in the juvenile justice system, and 2) reducing DMC at critical decision-points in the system. The Youth Law Center will work with two jurisdictions over a two-year period to develop new and accurate data collection methods for Latino youth in the juvenile justice system and to reduce DMC at critical decision-points.
