The purpose of this program is to provide an intensive inpatient residential program serving 10-12 males (point-in-time), ages 13-18, with an expected stay of 90 days in each cycle. The program will serve 40-50 chemically dependent children per year. The children served have a primary or secondary diagnosis of chemical addiction or substance abuse. Specific and targeted interventions occur around chemical dependency issues, including the group interaction philosophy of recovery, such as exposure to Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, awareness of triggering stimuli, and understanding the process of addictive diseases.
