Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2007, $800,000)

The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges will execute four separate projects with the goal of providing much needed resources to the juvenile and family justice field. The four projects are: the National Juvenile Court Data Archive, which collects and stores juvenile justice data; the Technical Assistance to the Juvenile Court Project, which responds to requests for training and technical assistance requests from juvenile court staff and juvenile justice professionals; the Permanent Families for Abused and Neglected Children: A National Training and Technical Assistance Project, which provides national training and technical assistance to improve permanency outcomes for abused and neglected children; and the Juvenile Justice and Family Law Training and Technical Assistance Project, which addresses the need for continuing education of the juvenile and family law bench.

Performance measures for these activities, include, but are not limited to: the number of new data files captured; number of technical assistance requests addressed; number of publications produced and provided; number of trainings facilitated; and changes to participant attitudes assessed through self-administered questionnaires.
