Juvenile Healing and Wellness Court-Planning and Implementation

The Quinault Indian Nation (QIN) Planning and Implementation Program will complete a comprehensive strategic plan for the implementation of a QIN juvenile healing to wellness court program, policies, and procedures within 12 months.  The remaining project years will launch and carry forward through with the delivery of a problem-solving court with several community anchors, including tribally operated programs such as TANF, Family Services, Behavioral Health, and Local School District Administrators. The intended outcomes of this project include: 1) increased reliance of American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) youth within the service area; 2) increased school attendance and educational attainment; and 3) decreased AI/AN youth encounters with the justice system.
