Madison County Juvenile Drug Court Enhancement Project.

Madison County Juvenile Drug Treatment Court (MCJDTC) Program proposes to enhance treatment by providing a variety of treatment options for participants who would otherwise not be able to afford or access appropriate treatment.  Program enhancement will also include the implementation of an After-School Program (APP) that will focus on the following four objectives to enhance public safety: 1) boost academics by offering tutoring and homework help; 2) youth and police engagement to reduce recidivism or escalation during juvenile and law enforcement contact; 3) life skills classes that teach youth financial literacy, family planning and workforce development skills; and 4) mental health by bringing providers to the program who can provide outpatient treatment and counseling services.
