Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2021, $750,000)

The Clark County Juvenile Court will enhance the Youth Treatment Court by implementing evidence-based family treatment to assist in stabilizing the family to reduce the risk of removal; increasing service capacity by partnering with an afterhours respite care provider who will be available to deliver a safe, short term respite stay needed when family dysfunction may require defusing; and increasing service capacity by contracting with a full-time therapist to provide the flexibility needed to meet the participants' stresses in real time as critical situations arise, as well as conduct assessments more effective and efficiently. In conjunction with the expansion of services, the court will collaborate with an independent evaluator to perform a program process and outcome evaluation, ensuring that the current practices of the program meet national and state standards.  The project will allow for the opportunity to implement a data collection, management and analysis solution that will provide constant monitoring of program progress and success.
