Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 1999, $382,640)
The purpose of this program is to curb juvenile fire-setting behaviors. The National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM) will add 10 more states to its workshop and team development program. NASFM will also continue, at a modest level, fire testing to fill in necessary physical and scientific data that is needed to understand what specific changes are needed to the environments which children frequent and in which they often engage in fire play and fire-setting.
