Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kennebec Valley (BBBSKV) will operate a year-round, after school and weekend project. This project will create a link between successful men and women in the workforce, students age 21 and over in local universities and post-secondary schools, members of church/civic organizations, and high risk adolescents in the Alternative Education schools.
The target population is high-risk adolescents, ages 11-17 that attend eight of the sixteen schools of the Alternative Education Program of the County Office of Education. Youth will be selected based on referrals from the designated school liaison.
