Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2003, $1,097,054)

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) will award a 12-month cooperative agreement to the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ). NCJFCJ will use these funds to support the Juvenile Drug Court Training and Technical Assistance Initiative. Under this initiative, NCJFCJ will provide training and technical assistance to assist jurisdictions develop juvenile drug courts and strengthen existing juvenile drug courts. Specifically, NCJFCJ will develop and conduct drug planning, implementation, , and enhancement training workshops. NCJFCJ will also develop and conduct a Faculty Development Institute to expand the cadre of practitioners at juvenile training workshops. In addition, NCJFCJ will provide on-site technical assistance services to juvenile drug court programs throughout the country.
