Union County College will partner with the Plainfield Board of Education to implement after school information technology programs and parenting education programs targeting 40 at-risk youth and 400 parents/adults in Union County, NJ. The program's goal is to "bridge the digital divide" and increase youth and their families' computer skills and career and educational opportunities. The program will accomplish these goals by providing computer services, support, and classes to program participants who have limited access to technology. Union County College will report to OJJDP on performance outputs such as participants' attendance, academic progress, and/or stated career plans. Performance measures, such as changes in attitude and increased parental involvement, will be assessed using pre- and post surveys of participants. Union County College will report these measures to OJJDP in the grantee's Categorical Assistance Progress Reports. NCA/NCF
