Court House Inc will implement substance abuse treatment and prevention services to juvenile justice involved adolescent male and female substance users in the Denver metropolitan area. The goals of the project are to reduce substance use among juvenile justice involved adolescents. To achieve this goal the beacon Center project will train staff to provide mentoring and motivational enhancement therapy in several types of settings using the developmental asset model that focuses on individual and families. The program will report performance measures based on the number of adolescents who demonstrate reduced substance abuse as indicated on the ASAP screening tool, urinalysis (UA) and a drug screening instrument (Socrates).
