Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2005, $1,000,000)

The Colorado Foundation for Families and Children (CFFC) will conduct a study that will examine the relationships of bullying behavior and victimization among youth who are truant, suspended or expelled as well as determining the predictive power of these relationships for delinquency. The study will consist of 3 major activities: (1) a literature review and meta-analysis on bullying, truancy and delinquency; (2) a multi-site research study of anti-bullying programs in Colorado middle and high schools; and (3) production of a series of research reports and deliverables for dissemination through OJJDP and other outlets. This project will be done in partnership with the Colorado Trust, the Colorado Department of Education and the Promising Practices Network at RAND Corporation.NCA/NCF
