The Juvenile and Family Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program is designed to assist states, state courts, local courts, units of local government, and Indian tribal governments in developing and establishing drug courts for substance-abusing juvenile offenders. Drug court programs funded by the Juvenile and Family Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program are required by law to target nonviolent offenders. The Program supports the following activities: Juvenile drug court implementation, Family drug court implementation, Single jurisdiction drug court enhancement, Statewide drug court enhancement, and planning efforts. The Court of Common Pleas will maintain continuity in the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court drug court by holding staffing and court weekly. The court will use funding to enhance services provided to participants, send staff to a training program for drug court practitioners, and complete an outcome evaluation. The grantee will report performance measures that include 1) Number of participants arrested for drug charges while participating in the drug court and 2) Number of graduates (participants who have completed all treatment).CA/NCF
