Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2006, $49,361)
The Expect Excellence Project seeks to provide a quality after-school program that offers children the opportunity to perform in a world-class choir while participating in an intensive program focusing on musical and academic achievement. Each participant will attend music classes one day a week, receive tutoring assistance at least one day a week, attend choir rehearsal two days a week and particpate in two community concerts. The program will serve at least 50 children over a period of 12 months.
