The grantee will implement the Developmental Assets framework designed by Search Institute. The Developmental Asset framework is divided into two groups of 20 assets. External assets focus on positive support, setting boundaries and expectations, and making good decisions. Internal assets include development of positive values, social competencies, and commitment to learning. The overall goal of this effort is to increase the grantee's capacity to facilitate the development of positive assets and reduce violence, abuse and truancy. Staff will be trained and certified in the delivery approach and will work with parents and youth to implement it.
