The the goals of the Reclamando Nuestro Futuro (RNF) Project model are to: (1) provide youth with opportunities to use their time in a positive manner through the education, employment, community service and artistic activities, (2) build on the strengths of the family through the Parents on a Mission program, which focuses on the development of a positive parent/child relationship, (3) address Latino at-risk and adjudicated youth involved or at-risk of involvement in negative lifestyles (i.e. gangs) and (4) prepare the RNF program as a model for replication on a national basis for delinquency prevention.

To achieve this goal the Latino Coalition will fund 12 partner non-profit organizations, 4 in each city, to serve 480 at-risk and adjudicated youth each project year in meaningful and engaging activities, conduct train-the-trainer and technical assistance to train 75 parents and community leaders each year in Parents on a Mission curriculum to teach parents in the community how to prevent and intervene youth involvement in gangs.
