The goal of the South Queens Boys & Girls Club After-School and Summer Programs is to offer an alternative to the high risk activities that may attract unsupervised youth. Through educational, technological, and culturally based programming, youth are given the opportunity to explore interests and activities that are not readily available to them at school or at home. The overall goals of the South Queens Boys & Girls Club After-School and Summer Program are to: 1) Provide youth with a safe, supervised environment after-school; 2) Promote academic achievement; 3) Inform youth about the dangers and consequence of risky behavior; 4) Encourage youth to explore new areas of interest.
