Prospect Park Yeshiva will establish an extensive after-school program for 30 at-risk youth. Program activities, such as help with homework, academic enrichment, sports and recreation, arts & crafts, and field trips, will take place one hour daily from Monday through Thursday. The proposed project will meet the needs of students who are most at risk of academic and social failure through an intense intervention program, whose main thrust will be a comprehensive educational after-school project. The program will strengthen literacy and academic development; promote creativity, creative thinking, communication, confidence building, teamwork, youth empowerment, skill and emotional development. Youth will acquire skills that will make them successful in school and later in life. NCA/NCF
