Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $360,000)
The goal of the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program is to support and enhance State efforts, in cooperation with local jurisdictions, to enforce laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages, or the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. For the purpose of the program, minors are defined as individuals under 21 years of age.
Guam plans to provide program funding to create a EUDL Task Force comprised of youth service providers and youth members; develop and implement comprehensive island-wide public education efforts to bring community awareness of the range of serious health and social problems associated with underage drinking and to develop and implement underage drinking prevention education and promotional campaigns.
