Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $33,486)
This program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
Through its State Advisory Group, Hawaii will allocate FY 2009 funds for year three of a current Title V program to the county of Kauai. Funds from FY 2007 will be combined with FY 2009 funds for the final year of funding for this county.
