Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2010, $84,945)
This program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
Specifically, the State of Colorado anticipates funding one continuation subgrantee for the second 12-month project period in FY 2010. The community will be selected through outreach to communities through collaboration with the Prevention Leadership Council established to create a more unified, effective, and efficient approach to the delivery of State and federally funded prevention, intervention and treatment services for children and youth in Colorado. Colorado shall give priority in funding to applicants that demonstrate the ability to develop data-driven prevention plans and employ evidence-based strategies. NCA/NCF
