The Title V Community Prevention Grants Program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
West Virginia Division of Justice and Community Services (DJCS) plans to use the FY 2011 Title V allocation to fund one subgrant to implement community efforts that are geared towards the prevention and reduction of delinquency. The State Advisory Group (SAG) will identify and fund a program to prevent or reduce the delinquent behavior of youth at risk of entering the juvenile justice system. The DJCS will collect data from the subgrantee on a quarterly basis for the required OJJDP performance measures and onsite programmatic site visits to subgrantee. NCA/NCF
