Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2013, $300,000)

The Youth With Sexual Behavior Problems (YSBP) Program provides funding to support development of community-based intervention models to serve youth with sexual behavior problems. The models to be developed include a multidisciplinary approach and provide intervention and supervision services for youth (ages 10-14) with sexual behavior problems, their child victims and their families.

Family and Child Treatment of Southern Nevada, Inc., (FACT) will coordinate with Juvenile Parole and Probation to establish an Advisory Group of community agencies serving this target population, to establish collaborative strategies for the management of youth with sexual behavior problems and implementation of best practices. The Youthful Sex Offender Intervention Program will combine a mental status evaluation, intake assessments and diagnostic interviews with treatment planning, individual, group and family therapy, and case management services for an average of 120 youth per year, serving 240 youth over the life of the project.
