The Drug Treatment Courts Program builds the capacity of states, state and local courts, units of local government, and federally recognized tribal governments to enhance pre-existing drug courts or implement new drug courts for individuals with substance abuse problems or co-occurring mental health disorders. Category 1: Juvenile Drug Treatment Courts (JDTCs) will support existing JDTCs to develop and implement strategies to enhance their programs based on the OJJDP JDTC Guidelines.

This project focuses on enhancing the operations of the Rankin County Youth Court’s Juvenile Drug Treatment Court (JDTC) Program to align with the OJJDP JDTC Guidelines. The goal of this project is to enhance and individualize case management plans for participants, increase family involvement in participants’ treatment, and increase participant involvement in prosocial activities.
