Supported activities and efforts may include planning and administration, establishing, operating, coordinating, and evaluating projects directly or through grants and contracts with public and private agencies for the development of more effective education, training, research, prevention, diversion, treatment, and rehabilitation programs in the area of juvenile delinquency and programs to improve the juvenile justice system as found in section 221 of the JJDP Act. The Wisconsin Department of Justice, as the designated state agency under the JJDP Act, will use funds to enhance and improve the juvenile justice system at the state and local levels.
