The Juvenile Justice System Enhancements program will support efforts to enhance systems that address public safety by holding offenders accountable and supporting child victims. This includes the juvenile justice system as well as those agencies responsible for investigating and prosecuting online child exploitation.

The North Carolina Administrate Office of the Courts proposes to conduct training of prosecutors and law enforcement by a juvenile court resource prosecutor in every judicial district across the state. Other deliverables include a statewide motions and legal memorandum resource bank for prosecutors to help them respond to increasing numbers of professionally written and distributed defense motions generated by the state’s four juvenile defense resource attorneys.
