Abstract

In this episode of the Tribal Youth Resource Center (TYRC) podcast, hosts Jacob Metoxen and Veronica Willeto DeCrane speak with Roxanne Burtt, the coordinator of the Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court for the Tule River Indian Tribe of the Tule River Reservation. Metoxen is the manager of training and technical assistance at TYRC, and DeCrane is TTA assistant manager at the National Native Children's Trauma Center. Burtt talks about Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court (JHWC) history, implementation strategies, the courts’ education efforts and positive impacts on the community, and the story of Tule River JHWC's first participant.
